Clinics
- There will be a maximum of FOUR people who will be allowed to sign up for each clinic.
- Sign up will be through SignUp Genius.
- If you can’t get access to this app, you can contact Greg, and he can assist you in reserving your spot.
- Each clinic will be designated as either:
- Beginner/Intermediate or
- Intermediate/Advanced
- Greg has no set criteria for which of the skill level clinics you should attend.
- The assumption is that if you take the Intermediate/Advanced clinics, you already can hit most of the shots consistently and the focus will be on more advanced topics.
- Use your best judgement or contact Greg.
- You will probably be able to tell if you are in the wrong clinic after attending the first one and can adjust accordingly.
Beginner/Intermediate clinics
Greg will rotate through four different lesson plans:
- serve/return of serve/transition to kitchen;
- transition to kitchen/volleys/dinks;
- dinks/power volleys/offensive lobs/defensive lobs and overheads; and
- winning strategies in game situations.
Intermediate/Advanced clinics
Greg will rotate through three different lesson plans:
- third shot drop/reset/stacking/poaching;
- intent, consistency, and accuracy for all shots; and
- winning strategies in game situations.
Very Important: For either Beginner/Intermediate or Intermediate/Advanced clinics, there is NO NEED to do the lessons in order. They are designed to be independent of one another and will be given at different times and dates to suit your schedule. If you have a great serve, return of serve and transition game, don’t necessarily bother with that clinic.
Cost
- $15 per person for a 75-minute clinic (this includes a warm-up, 60 minutes of instruction and cool down/review).
- Payment is by cash or check (preferred) payable to Sun City Center Pickleball Club.
- In addition to these clinics, Greg is available to teach private/semi-private lessons at a cost of $20 per person for a 75-minute session. Times and dates of those lessons will be done directly through Greg.
Schedule
- In general, clinics will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Each clinic will be designated as either:
- Beginner/Intermediate or
- Intermediate/Advanced
- Greg has no set criteria for which of the skill level clinics you should attend.
- The specific lesson plans will be published via SignUp Genius.
